This type of container is like a plain litter container, but there is a special hood that goes over the top. This encloses the litter box and makes it so that people cannot see what is inside. While not all cats will use this kind of bathroom setup, it is a great solution for people who do have a cat that will. Not only is the business hidden from view, but the smell is often kept under control with this method as well.
Sifting Boxes
If you are looking for a way to make the scooping process easier, yet you are not willing to spend the money that would be involved in purchasing an automatic box, then you might want to consider opting for a sifting model. Put simply, this type is comprised of two pieces. First, there is the solid lower part, which is the main container. Then, there is a second sifter that is comprised of a grid that allows clean litter to flow through while capturing any waste. If you don’t want to really scoop your box, this is one of the better routes to take.
Normal Containers
Finally, there is the normal, everyday litter box. These containers are simple boxes without lids where you can put cat litter into them and then let them sit. Your cat will come and go as they please, as long as the box is kept clean. As you can see, there are many different types of litter boxes, making the choice somewhat more complex than you originally thought. Just remember in your search, not all of them are created equal.
